Project Based Experience
I am a partner in a firm of Chartered Buiulding Consultancy and Chartered Surveyors and have been so for over 11 years. There are 2 other fee generating partners within the Practice although we work for the majority of the time autonomously. I am personally charged with maintaining my existing clients and actively seeking new opportunities for the Practice. We do not have an active marketing policy within the firm, the majority of our clients come to us via recommendation or repeat business.
With the exception of managerial responsibilities, 50% of my existing workload tends to be traditional Quantity Surveying with the rest of my workload being contentious work.
My wife and I are members of our local Methodist Church at which I am Worship Leader, a Worship Band member and I am Property Manager with responsibility for the building; I am also a Member of the Bradford Organists Association. I enjoy undertaking amateur Thespian activities, of which recent productions include pantomime. I have interests in computer technology, photography and looking at building sites whenever I can. I am a Scout Leader at one of our local Scout Troops and have led outward bound activities in this respect; I have achieved the Wood Badge, Night’s Away Permit and Adventurous Activity Permit (Raft Building)
